Sadler To Double Dip

(WINDSOR, ON) – A familiar face will lead the City of Windsor’s Family Aquatic and Library Complex project.

Don Sadler, the city’s recently retired Executive Director of Parks and Facilities will take on the new role of Project Manager.

Don was hired by the city in 1990 and retired October 31 of this year. Among his many projects in that time was the construction of the WFCU Centre.  As you may recall, that  project’s initial cost was quoted in the  media at around  $48M when first  announced but wound up costing $71M

Construction of the new signature family aquatic and library complex will include a 50-metre pool, a 25-metre pool with a diving well, a family water park, and a modern library.

  1. Honesty

Sadler headed up the WFCU Arena, which was over the original budget, can you imagine what the cost over budget will be on this project. I do not believe they have a certified project manager in the city at all, I mean they have no one with a certicate from a recognized institute in project management. The city officials are too proud to except free help on these projects, they would rather see these projects cost the taxpayers more money before admitting their failures.
