Walkerville Brewery Wins Trio Of Medals In Halifax

(HALIFAX, NS) – Walkerville Brewery won three honours at the 2018 Canadian Brewing Awards held at the Halifax Convention Centre in Halifax on May 26. This year marked the 16th annual presentation of the Canadian Brewing Awards.

Walkerville Brewery received the gold medal for the Purity Pilsener, a European style lager entered in the Pilsner category. Also captured were a pair of silver medals for the Kremlin Russian Imperial Stout and the Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout.

“This is a credit to the quality of Walkerville Brewery beers and the talent of our brewing staff,” said Ian Gourlay, a partner at Walkerville Brewery. “Windsor has a growing reputation for quality craft beer and nationally recognized awards like these just reinforce that.”

With submissions from 310 breweries from across Canada, representing 1,903 beer entries, these made in Windsor craft beers won over the judges and garnered national recognition.
