Essex County Men Fined In North Bay

(NORTH BAY, ON) – Four Essex County men have been fined in relation to possession of undersized pickerel while fishing in Lake Nipissing. Conservation officers found the men in possession of the fish while patrolling near Deep Water Point.

At a hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on April 25, Donald Davidson and Christopher Boutet, of Cottam, and Kyle Bissonnette and Kenneth Bissonnette, of Essex, pleaded guilty to possessing the undersized pickerel, each less than 46cm in length.

Eight fish in total, which were confiscated and donated to charity, were found in the men’s possession. Fines ranged from $400 for Kenneth Bissonnette, to $800 for Boutet and Kyle Bissonnette and $1,200 for Davidson.
