(TECUMSEH, ON) – Holland, MI-based Yanfeng, the world’s largest supplier of automotive interiors, has recognized the contributions its suppliers make to its success by awarding two dozen with the Americas Supplier Performance Award.
Vice-president of global procurement Jim Bos said the awards, “… recognize our top suppliers in North America for their strong leadership, diligence, engagement, anticipation of requirements, and for displaying excellence during the past year.”
Only two Ontario companies earned the award; Circle Five Tool and Mold of Tecumseh and Canadian General Tower of Cambridge.
Circle 5 supplies auto parts makers and others with a variation of injection molds from 50 to 2,500 tons. These molds are used to produce such products as seat trim, dashboard consoles, doors, and shifter knobs.
The company is a minority supplier under the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council’s rules.
Headquartered in Shanghai, Yanfeng has a hundred manufacturing plants and technical centers in 18 countries and more than 30,000 employees globally. Its client list includes most major automakers.
