Biblioasis Garners Second Prestigious Nomination

(WINDSOR, ON) – Lazer Lederhendler is a Montreal-based translator who specializes in contemporary Québécois literature. He has been named a $25,000 Governor General Award for Literature finalist for his translation of Catherine Leroux’s novel The Party Wall, published by Windsor’s Biblioasis.

This is the second time this month that The Party Wall has been shortlisted for a major Canadian literary award. The novel was recently named a finalist for the $100,000 Giller Prize.

Both Lederhendler and Leroux will be in Windsor for Bookfest Windsor 2016, taking place between November 4 and 6 at the Art Gallery of Windsor. Biblioasis is also the official book-seller of BookFest Windsor.
