(WINDSOR, ON) – Tug is a free-range collective, facilitated by co-provocateurs Gaelyn and Gustavo Aguilar, that serves as a platform for addressing issues of social and cultural transformation through collaborative social practice.
Interested in interstitial environs of borders, borderlands and other fuzzy frontiers this duo will be in Windsor April 1 to April 2, 2015 with an exhibition as well a performance and artist talk happening at the University of Windsor and Arts Council Windsor Region.
The exhibition, entitled Who Eats at Taco Bell? is a socially-engaged-art platform, where Tug will utilize a taco bike/cart to make tacos for people that they come into contact with. While also creating a dialogue about how the interlocking dynamics of immigration, social race, and economic prosperity in American history continue to resonate with personal and political notions of national identity and belonging.
This exhibition will be at the Arts Council Windsor Region, located at 1942 Wyandotte Street East, from March 31 to April 2. The ACWR is open Tuesday through Thursday from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm for this exhibition.
