USST Acquisition Spells Job Growth

(TECUMSEH, ON) – Unconquered Sun Solar Technologies has announced that Sarnia-based Bluewater Power Corporation has recently acquired USST. The transaction marks the first time a renewable energy company has been acquired by a public utility in the Province of Ontario, and speaks to the success of Unconquered Sun Solar Technologies and the company’s reputation for innovation within the renewable energy industry.

‘This merger underpins Unconquered Sun’s longevity for years to come,” said Unconquered Sun’s founder, Sean Moore. “This validates the engineering acumen here in Windsor and Essex, the course we’ve charted, and the ceaseless effort toward innovation that is at the heart of our company.”

Bluewater Power will retain Moore as Director of Operations.

The move represents the backing of a well established, respected, and renowned utility company as well as access to Bluewater Power Corporation’s budding portfolio of renewable energy projects. It heralds healthy and reciprocal growth for both companies.

The move has already resulted in  the creation of five new full-time positions at Unconquered Sun and the company expects to hire another five to 10 employees by April this year.
