Snow Emergency Declared In Chatham-Kent

By Renee Cowell

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) – The Municipality of Chatham-Kent Public Works Department has declared a snow emergency after the current weather forecast indicates a heavy snowfall accumulation of 25 to 30 cm.

Parking of vehicles on municipal streets and roads is prohibited now through until Wednesday, February 4, at 4:00 pm.

Emergency vehicles, citizens, and local businesses all depend on streets and roads to be clear for passage. This action is required to enable snow ploughs to clear away the snow as safely and efficiently as possible.

The Municipality is asking for the support of motorists to make every effort to move their vehicles off all Municipal streets and roads.
