Police Arrest Niagara Falls Resident On Child Porn Charges

(NIAGARA FALLS, ON) – In June this year, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service initiated an Investigation into the possession and distribution of child pornography, from an unidentified location within the city of Niagara Falls.

On August 6, the investigation led police to a specific residence in Niagara Falls and, with the assistance of the Technological Crimes Unit, a Criminal Code search warrant was executed at the residence and an arrest was made.

Twenty-six year-old Joshua Aaron Evans, of Niagara Falls, was arrested and subsequently charged with Make Available Child Pornography, Unlawfully Access Child Pornography, and three counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Evans was held in custody, pending a bail hearing scheduled for today in St Catharines.
