Double Fatality As Motorcycle, Pick-Up Truck Collide

(WINDHAM, ON) – The OPP are investigating a collision that occurred on Brantford Road in Windham yesterday evening. Around 6:52 pm, police, Norfolk County Fire Services, and EMS personnel responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and pick-up truck near Teeterville Road.

The investigation determined that a motorcyclist was travelling with other motorcycles when it collided with a pick-up truck in the intersection. As a result of the collision, the motorcycle operator and the passenger in the pick-up truck were pronounced deceased at the scene by the attending coroner.

The operator of the motorcycle has been identified as 54 year old Kenneth Haviland of Norfolk County. The passenger in the pick-up truck has been identified as 74 year-old Patricia Menard-Williams, of Woodstock.

The driver of the truck, an 80 year-old man from Woodstock, was transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
