Severe Thunderstorm Watch

(WINDSOR, ON) – Environment Canada has announced a severe thunderstorm watch for Chatham-Kent, Windsor and Essex County. There are severe thunderstorm conditions possible in the early morning to morning.

Thunderstorms are occurring or expected early this morning. These thunderstorms may be capable of producing torrential downpours with local amounts near 50 mm. Frequent lightning will likely accompany these storms. Wind gusts in excess of 90 kph are also possible. Additional warnings may be issued if required.

Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.
