(MAIDSTONE, ON) – Thomas’ Utopia Brand was recently recognized by both the Ontario Export Awards for their export developments as well as the Creativity International Awards for a brand refresh that includes packaging, website, logo, and all sales tools.

Utopia was one of three finalists invited to attend the Ontario Export Awards that recently took place in Toronto. The tomato processor beat out hundreds of exporting companies from across the province and received praise for it’s exporting developments in China, Nigeria, Trinidad & Tobago, and the US.

The awards pay tribute to the innovative approaches of Ontario’s exporting companies, as well as recognize the province’s top exporters.

“By pioneering and positioning themselves ahead of competing exporters within the province and throughout the world, agricultural companies in Windsor-Essex’s will continue to grow their local capacity,” said Bill Thomas, CEO of Utopia.

The celebration of a successful year for Utopia continues with a Creativity International Award for the marketing material in their recent rebrand which positions the 80 year-old company with a progressive icon that spans to an international appeal with a home grown sense that celebrates the rich history of the company. Winners of this prestigious award represent 32 countries, three Canadian provinces, and 22 US states with thousands of entries.

The redesign is all a part of an international strategy with community understanding, regardless of the geography.

The comprehensive collateral materials and icon were designed locally with Windsor-Detroit firm Douglas Marketing Group, to support distribution and awareness of product lines internationally. Currently, Utopia distributes throughout 1,000 stores across Canada and the United States.

The brand celebrates the history and Canadian origin of the product while expanding its community and commitment to quality throughout the world.

“Our growth and development within Canada and Global markets was the catalyst for repositioning our brand to represent the value and quality our product offers within an international marketplace,” said Thomas. “Our team is growing to serve a broader market while proud of the footprint we create in all the communities we are in.”

Thomas Canning and the Utopia Brand has a rich history and reputation for producing quality tomato products and the only Organically processed tomato product line.
