Hunters Reminded To Follow By-Laws

(LAKESHORE, ON) – On September 24th, 2011 around 7:00 am, Lakeshore OPP responded to citizens concerned with hunter’s shooting too close to shore. Police attended and the hunters were abiding by the Town of Lakeshore bylaws.

Police are reminding hunters that there is a bylaw regulating the discharge of firearms within the Town of Lakeshore.   Hunters cannot discharge their firearm within 200 metres from the shoreline from Tecumseh to a perpendicular line 200 metres north of Duck Creek.  Once east of Duck Creek they need only be in the water.
