Thirty Days Of Local Wine
(WINDSOR, ON) – Throughout the month of December WindsorEats.com will highlight the region’s award winning wineries with 30 Days of Local Wine.
Each day from December 1st to December 31st, one local wine will be highlighted on the WindsorEats.com FoodBlog and include information from tasting notes to food pairings, recipes and more.
“We have award winning wineries in our region and this is an opportunity to highlight them in a unique and interactive way,” explains Adriano Ciotoli, co-owner of the award winning WindsorEats.com culinary website. “It puts the focus on our wine region and encourages holiday shoppers to purchase from our local wineries and learn about what exists in our own backyard.”
WindsorEats.com encourages everyone to discuss each day’s wine by interacting on the FoodBlog, following 30 Days of Local Wine on the WindsorEats.com Facebook Fan Page and Twitter (#30dlw).
In conjunction with 30 Days of Local Wine, WindsorEats.com is also offering shuttle service to the wineries. The Wine Express Bus Tour visits four local wineries on December 11, 2010 and is a great opportunity to purchase wine and gifts for the holidays, including gift baskets. A first class limousine bus will pick up participants at a central location and drive them through the county in style. Cost of each ticket for the Wine Express is $75 and includes the drive to each winery in a limousine bus, tastings at each winery and lunch in Kingsville. That’s about $25 less than competitors. Tickets can be purchased on Windsoreats.com
WindsorEats.com is a culinary guide to Windsor and Essex County and was recently selected as Innovator of the Year by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada for their Wine Trail Rides. Their unique events have raised the profile of culinary tourism in Essex County.
