About Us
WHO WE ARE
The Square is a multi-faceted news and opinion portal that delivers regular political commentary and analysis of the happenings and community information from Windsor and Essex County, Chatham-Kent and South-East Michigan. The Square provides insightful news perspectives, in depth analysis, and solid background for people who want more than what traditional news sources provide. The Square’s integrated newsroom brings together reporters, editors, producers, and community-outreach specialists to produce original journalism, highlight news, and information from citizen reporters. The Square engages our audience in a dialogue on news and culture in the Windsor area.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to create a comprehensive guide to local news and entertainment, delivered on multiple platforms, for anyone interested in what’s happening in the area.
Some of the area’s best known political observers have agreed to join our new community. Look for the insightful discussion of events that you have come to expect from Ian Paulson, Ed Arditti, and Chris Schnurr. They are now all regular contributors in one convenient location at The Square.
Windsor Square also provides access to news from around the corner and around the world with many of the articles sourced directly from the newsmakers themselves. Whether originating in Tiananmen Square, Times Square, or Trafalgar Square, the readers of The Square can access the world in their own backyard.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF NEWS WEBSITE
We don’t pretend to provide comprehensive coverage of breaking stories from around the world, but we do have stories, photos and videos, at irregular intervals, on a wide range of interesting subjects including politics, business, sport, education, health & wellness, and entertainment, brought to you by the experts themselves.
You can keep up with what we’re covering by becoming a fan of our Facebook page or by following us on Twitter.
