Baskin-Robbins Love Potion #31 ice cream is featured in the celebration of Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, and Singles Awareness Day.

(WINDSOR, ON) – Valentine’s Day, which happens in two days, is no longer just a day for romance. Ice-cream company Baskin Robbins has decided the days around February 14 should be a triple barreled celebration covering Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day, and Singles Awareness Day.

To commemorate all three, the company, which has an outlet in Windsor, has put together limited edition cards and an all new Heart Shaped Polar Pizza.

Galentine’s Day is celebrated the day before Valentine’s day and is designed for women to honour their best women friends. It is not really a holiday, at least officially, and grew in popularity after being celebrated on an episode of the television serial Parks and Recreation.

Singles Awareness (or Appreciation) Day, explains Wikipedia, is a holiday for single people, those who are not in a romantic relationship. It is also known as SAD day.

In a complicated world with many things happening at once, Natalie Joseph, a spokesperson for Baskin-Robbins, told The Square that the company was not about to, “conform to the regular Valentine’s Day rules targeted solely to couples.”

To mark the three occasions, the company will sell a Love Potion #31 for the whole month. The ice cream treat is a combination of white chocolate and raspberry flavoured ice cream, a raspberry ribbon, raspberry-filled hearts, and chocolate chunks.

The potion also plays a role in the company’s Heart Shaped Ice Cream Polar Pizza. It includes a double fudge brownie crust topped with Love Potion #31 ice cream, cookies and cream pieces, marshmallow topping and fudge, and sprinkled with heart sequins.
