(WINDSOR, ON) – St. Clair College has announced that the business school will be named the Zekelman School of Business and Information Technology, a first in St. Clair College’s 51 years. The school will be located at 1 Riverside Drive West.
“St. Clair College proudly honours the Zekelman family for their contributions to community as well as the leadership they have provided in industry and philanthropy,” said St Clair president Patti France. “We look forward to a long relationship that sets a new standard for business, raising the bar in advanced education.”
In 2007, the Stephanie and Barry Zekelman Foundation was established to contribute to many organizations and community initiatives.
“The Zekelman family welcomes the opportunity to influence the leaders of tomorrow by doing our part in supporting St. Clair College,” said Barry Zekelman. “There is no better way to secure the future than ensuring quality post-secondary education that prepares the next generation for leadership.”
The School of Business and Information Technology moves forward with a plan to take its place as a first choice and premier institution offering world-class education and advanced program offerings, including data analytics, international business management, and a new Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (Information Communication Technology) degree, which will launch in September 2019.
“We are honoured to be a part of the important impact that the School of Business and Information Technology has had had on our community,” said France. “Having this exceptional business family come forward to place their name on our School of Business and Information Technology is a powerful testimony and endorsement of our vision, “excellence in all we do.”
