Sides At Table In Casino Despute

(WINDSOR, ON) – In a positive development, negotiators with Caesars Windsor and Unifor local 444 are meeting again today to overcome the impasse which has led to the 41-day strike. All events and bookings at the casino were cancelled until the end of May after 59 per cent of workers rejected a negotiated settlement on April 6.

The last time both sides met, negotiations broke off after only two hours on April 18 when management refused to discuss the union’s new set of demands.

A number of issues remain to be resolved, according to incoming Local 44 president Dave Cassidy.
