Robbery Spree Suspect Collared

(WINDSOR, ON) – While investigating a robbery of a convenience store in the 2600 block of Lauzon Road on May 19, officers with the Major Crime Branch were able to identify the armed man who made off with a quantity of cash.

Investigators also connected the suspect to five other robberies where he used a yellow garbage bag with yellow lettering to carry away his haul. The man used a knife during the robberies and had concealed his face by wearing a balaclava.

Officers located the man yesterday afternoon on Lauzon Road and arrested him without incident.

Cody Farrugia, 20, from Windsor, has been charged with six counts each of robbery and using a disguise while committing an offense.

Windsor Police is thanking the public after receiving many tips in relation to the investigation.
