Health Unit Collecting Dental Data

(WINDSOR, ON) – How easy is it for adults, and particularly seniors, to get dental care in the region? That is the question the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is about to find out with a new survey.

Cleared by the University of Windsor Research Ethics Board, the broader objective is to map out dental care issues that adults many have come across in the region. Responses from the anonymous study will be amalgamated and studied as a whole.

While the results may be used on the Health Unit’s website, annual report, presentations, or for other purposes, specific individual responses will never be made public. The actual data will be stored by an outside firm hired by the Health Unit.

Those wishing to participate can connect to the survey through a link on the Health Unit’s webpage. Questions about the initiative can be directed to a Health Promotion Specialist at the Oral Health Department, by calling 519-258-2146 x3212.

Survey updates and a summary report are also planned to be posted on the website.
