Christian Vegh Headlines Strawberry Fest Lineup

(LaSALLE, ON) – Organizers of the LaSalle Strawberry Festival have announced the entertainment lineup for this year’s edition of the early summer event. The festival takes place June 7 through June 10 at Gil Maure Park and features a carnival, fireworks over the Detroit River, parade, entertainment and local strawberries.

Christian Vegh, who was raised in LaSalle, will headline June 8 at the festival. Vegh has been referred to as a “young guitar prodigy with an old soul”, and the “type of young artist that will shape Canadian music for the next 50 years”.

Also on Friday night, the Christie Palazzolo Band will take the stage. The Windsor-born artist’s first EP Alive Today is now complete with her first single and title track Alive Today receiving airplay on 31 stations across Canada.

The weekend schedule also includes performances by Sandwich High School graduate Melissa Megan, dynamic funk rock band Mrs Fox, smooth jazz group Six Degrees, original and cover music by The McCauley/Valentino Duet, alt-folk rock from William Theodore Hawksworth, and 70s to 90s rock by No Drama.

Admission is $5 per person at the gate and children under 6 and seniors over 65 are free. Or, weekend passes are $12 per person, available for purchase beginning May 14 at the Vollmer Complex.
