(LEAMINGTON, ON) – A dream is becoming a reality for Dale Butler and Friends as they hit Leamington’s newest waterfront attraction, the Seacliff Park Amphitheatre, on Saturday, July 14 at 7pm, as part of the Bank OnThe42 music series.

“We’re pretty excited and have been looking forward to this amphitheatre being built for some time,” said Butler. “Mayor Paterson, John Moran and I, among others, have dreamed of this happening and it’s finally here. I can’t wait to share the love with everyone from that stage.”

The Bank Theatre’s vice-president, Moran, is thrilled about this partnership with the Municipality of Leamington and Tourism Leamington.

“Leamington has been waiting for this great venue and its an honour to program in top-notch favourite, local bands,” Moran said. “Already, music fans are hip to the idea of hanging out there to hear great music, watch the sunset, and hang out with family and friends.”

Dale Butler and Friends features easy listening music mixed with Butler’s originals and classic covers, with which everyone can sing along. Members include Butler’s wife Judy, Fred Garant, Moran, and Stu Campbell, offering audiences a well-rounded, full sound.

As a band, they bring together years of experienced musical talent in their lively performances.

Butler, or The Dale, as he is best known, is the founder of Dale’s Friday Coffee House, a co-producer of Sun Parlour Coffee House Sessions, the founding father of Essex Kent Bluegrass Old Time and Folk Music Association, conducts workshops to teach guitar in two minutes, a retired music store proprietor, and can be found supporting all things music. He is passionate about his song-writing and the local music scene, encouraging young and young at heart to learn an instrument or to sing.

Upcoming Bank OnThe42 shows include blues, soul and rock with Jen Knight on July 28, high energy classic rock covers from No Drama on August 11, and The Family Soul will deliver soul with a bluesy twist to end the series on August 25.

Bank OnThe42 is a free, all-ages concert series. Music lovers should bring lawn chairs or blankets, a picnic or currency to purchase food. Bank OnThe42 concert series is part of the Summer OnThe42nd events brought to you in partnership between The Bank Theatre and Tourism Leamington and is sponsored by the Municipality of Leamington.
