Arrest Made In Gauthier Killing, One Man At Large

(WINDSOR, ON) – Investigators from the Major Crimes Branch have identified two individuals involved in the homicide of 16 year-old Chance Gauthier. The youth was shot in an alley in the 900 block of Church Street on February 14. On Saturday, investigators arrested Mal Choi, 20 of Waterloo, without incident, in Windsor.

A second man, Nouraldin Rabee, 19, of Windsor, is the subject of an arrest warrant and wanted in connection with the murder.

Chol has charged been charged with first degree murder, kidnapping, and forcible confinement.

Rabee is wanted for the same offenses. He is described as 6’ 2” in height, 150lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. Police advise that Rabee is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. If seen, people should call 911.

Offices believe Rabee has fled from the Windsor area. Investigators have confirmed that Choi and Rabee knew Gauthier.

Investigators believe the murder was a targeted act.
