Work Nearing Completion On Downtown Marriott

(WINDSOR, ON) – Marriott International, one of the world’s largest hoteliers, has confirmed it will open one of its suite offerings on Dougall Avenue in downtown Windsor. A sign has been erected on the long-closed former Quality Inn and Suites announcing a Marriott Town Place Suites, which will open next month.

This branch of the Marriott family is designed to appeal to extended stay guests; those looking for more than just a hotel room. In return for longer stays, visitors are offered lower rates and amenities, like free breakfasts including cereal and muffins.

So far, Marriott has opened 200 of these hotels with each offering a range of studio and one and two bedroom suites which often have full kitchens. The company has not announced how many of the Quality Inn suites will be renovated nor the facility’s overall room count.

When operated by Quality Inn, a unit of Choice Hotels, it had a configuration of 128 rooms and its main floor included the region’s only Eggsmart restaurant. Some of the most visible changes to the building have included new front doors.
