Windsor Unemployment Up Significantly

(WINDSOR, ON) – The unemployment rate is up across the nation and in Windsor it is no different. While Canada added 35,300 net jobs in October, the national unemployment rate edged up 0.1 per cent to 6.3 per cent.

The provincial rate jumped to 5.9 per cent, up 0.3 per cent from the previous month. However, in Windsor the unemployment rate rose significantly, a full 1.1 per cent from September, to 6.9 per cent. It is also up almost 2 per cent year-over-year.
