(WINDSOR, ON) – Erie Street’s Take Five Bistro is the one of the nation’s 100 most romantic restaurants. This, according to ratings by Open Table, a provider of online restaurant reservations and part of The Priceline Group.
The organization combined opinions of more than 480,000 restaurant reviews submitted by verified diners for more than 1,900 restaurants in Canada.
“Whether looking to book the perfect Valentine’s Day meal or a casual dinner date, this list based on reviews from our verified diners highlights some of Canada’s most romantic restaurants from coast to coast,” said Ziv Schierau, the head of national accounts for OpenTable Canada. “With intimate atmospheres, specially curated menus, and exceptional hospitality, the restaurants on this list are excellent choices for places to dine on one of the most romantic and busiest days of the year.”
Open Table also revealed how Canadians make reservations and dine on Valentine’s Day. Last year, it found 45 per cent of Canadian diners waited until the week before Valentine’s Day to make their reservations.
Italian cuisine proved to be the most popular when choosing a restaurant to dine at for Valentine’s Day a year ago, followed by steakhouses, Canadian cuisine, seafood, and French cuisine.
Windsor’s Take Five Bistro serves steaks, chops, and seafood. It is co-owned by Paul Sauve and Cody Northgrave. Both are cooks.
