Wanted In Niagara, Found In Wallaceburg

(WALLACEBURG, ON) – Yesterday morning a man was located inside a garage at a residence in Wallaceburg when the owner found the door to the garage damaged.

The property owner found the man sleeping on a couch and took a picture of him with her cell phone. He awoke and was told to leave the property, which he did.

It was then discovered that the man had eaten about $25 worth of food and consumed six beers. Chatham-Kent Police were called and the owner provided the photo of the man to officers.

Around 8:00am, police located and arrested the man a short distance away. A records check disclosed that the man was wanted by warrant in Niagara Region.

The Port Colborne man, 21, was charged with break and enter and theft under $5,000. He was held for a bail hearing at CKPS headquarters.
