Veterans Wanted For Free Lunch

(WINDSOR, ON) – Again this year, as it has since 2002, the Windsor Historical Society and the Veterans Memories Project are seeking military veterans to have lunch with high school history students. The non-profit, charitable organization is dedicated to capturing, preserving, and sharing veterans’ stories from across Canada, the United States, Great Britain, and other NATO Countries.

With its annual Veterans Appreciation Day, WHS provides an opportunity for local students to dine and talk freely with local veterans. Again the event is called 200 Veterans with 200 Students.

Students thirsty for historic knowledge are welcome. The event will be held on November 10 at the Serbian Centre on the city’s east side.

More details can be found at the website.
