(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) – Building on the success of the first Positivity Day held last year, this year’s celebration has been expanded to include 12 Days of Positivity. Themed days, which began yesterday, and run through to Positivity Day on September 15, will focus on celebrating the many great aspects of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.
“Chatham-Kent is a great place to live and we know there are many people in our community who feel this way,” said Darrin Canniff, co-chair of Positivity Day. “So we decided it is time to band together to give a united voice to the significant population of positive people who live in Chatham-Kent.”
On September 7, the United Sirens of C-K have teamed up for First Responders Day. Starting at 9am, customers will get their groceries bagged and carried out to their vehicles by the fire, police, and EMS members who make up the United Sirens of C-K.
- Wallaceburg No Frills: 9am – 10am
- Dresden Foodland: 10:30am – 11:30am
- Blenheim Food Basics: 1pm – 2pm
- Tilbury No Frills: 2:30pm – 3:30pm
Also, at each location, donations of canned goods will be collected and then delivered to the town’s food bank or Salvation Army by the United Sirens of C-K.
