(LEAMINGTON, ON) – As part of the Leamington’s tourism strategy, the town has launched a new tourism website On The 42, which will fully promote the unique adventures, attractions, and climate of being situated on the 42nd parallel.
This website is a way to showcase and highlight the area’s existing and developing businesses, along with the events, attractions, and natural beauty of Leamington.
The creation of On The 42 allows local businesses and attractions to promote themselves through ad space and detailed listings. Furthermore, the site has integrated a dynamic events platform, which includes the ability to upload multiple photos and event videos, allowing for the community to be a significant partner in promoting the exciting things happening in Leamington.
“Onthe42.com is an excellent way to market Leamington as a top of mind tourist destination,” said Leamington mayor John Paterson. “Its abilities show how we can highlight businesses, attractions, and events as part of our tourism strategy and as part of a larger economic development initiative. Tourism is Leamington’s fourth largest sector and our focus on the tourism brand and events like the Sip and Savour Experience show our commitment to continued economic growth in Leamington.”
The Sip and Savour Experience is one of the premiere events happening in the community, and showcases the diverse culinary landscape of Leamington, promoting the region through the celebration of food, drink, and culture.
This year, the Food Network’s celebrity chef Lynn Crawford will join the Sip and Savour Experience on August 19. Chef Crawford is an award-nominated cookbook author, restaurant owner, and celebrity chef. She has made regular appearances on programs such as Iron Chef America, Top Chef Master Series season five, Restaurant Makeover, Top Chef Canada, and is currently a resident judge on Chopped Canada.
Leamington is taking an active role in the marketing of its tourism brand and assets and through the promotion of top-tier events such as the Sip and Savour Experience.
