The Wait For Kenny Wayne Shepherd

(WINDSOR, ON) – Since the announcement that Kenny Wayne Shepherd was to perform at Bluesfest Windsor, it has been the most anticipated appearance of the summer. Shepherd didn’t disappoint when he and his band took the main stage Friday night.

Shepherd is the second coming of Stevie Ray Vaughan, with Double Trouble taking the form of Noah Hunt. The pair, along with band mates Kevin McCormick, Joe Krown, and Chris Layton, delivered their show with passion and accomplishment.

Hunt’s showmanship and boyish charm was tempered by the virtuosity and nimble fingers of Shepherd’s fretwork. Between the two of them, anticipation gave way to an experience well worth waiting for.
