(DETROIT, MI) – A Pontiac woman has been charged in connection with leaving her two infants unattended in a vehicle in the MGM Grand Casino parking structure.

Clelie Faith Choute, 27, of Pontiac, MI, is alleged to have left a two year-old boy and a six month-old girl inside a vehicle at the casino. A security officer, who was notified of the infants by casino patrons shortly before midnight on August 19, found the children unattended and notified Detroit Police.

Officers removed the children and released them to their father. Choute was located inside the casino and taken into custody. She has been charged with two counts of second degree child abuse and released on a $100,000 bond.

Choute will next appear in the 36th District Court on August 30 with preliminary examination scheduled for September 6.
