Police Make Quick Arrests After Pharmacy Robberies

(BOTHWELL, ON) – Yesterday morning, shortly after 10:30am a man entered the Bothwell Pharmacy with his face concealed. He demanded narcotics from the employees while threatening that he had a firearm.

The man was refused service so fled in a car with two other men waiting outside for him.

Around 11:00am, the same three men arrived at the Thamesville Pharmacy. The same man entered wearing the same clothing and making the same demands and threat. A quantity of narcotics were stolen and the man fled again in the same vehicle waiting outside.

Police were notified of both incidents and just before noon officers located the vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Baseline Road. A high risk traffic stop was initiated on Dawn Mills Road and two of the three men were arrested.

The third man had already exited the vehicle and fled on foot.

A Harwich Township man, 20, and a Blenheim man, 24, have been charged with two counts of robbery. They remain in custody while pending a bail hearing.

Investigators have identified the third man involved and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
