OPP Investigates Rural Armed Robbery

(WARWICK TOWNSHIP, ON) – On February 25, the OPP responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business on Nauvoo Road in Warwick Township.

Just after 4:30am, the OPP in Lambton County responded to the business in the 5300 block of Nauvoo Road and, upon arrival, police were informed that four unknown suspects entered the property, one armed with a weapon.

The group demanded various merchandise and then they fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The OPP’s West Region Canine and Emergency Response Teams were dispatched to the scene. A search of the area located a stolen vehicle, which is believed to have been involved in the robbery. However, no suspects were located.

The West Region Forensic Identification Unit was called to the scene to assist with the investigation, as well as the Lambton Crime Unit.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

The investigation is on-going at this time.
