(HARROW, ON) – The Kiwanis Club of Windsor is a group of volunteers serving children and youth throughout Windsor and Essex County. Established in 1919 as the second branch of a worldwide organization, this chapter is distinguished by its operation of summer camp since 1921, including its own Sunshine Point Camp for children and youth, since 1942.

Tomorrow evening at Sunshine Point Camp, located at 955 County Road 50 East in Harrow, there will be a dinner, donor recognition, cheque presentation, and dedication. The evening will conclude with a special performance by the youth.

The Club will also recognize long-standing member and past-president John Foley for his years of dedicated service and leadership.

Kiwanis president Dan Inverarity is welcoming the community, donors, and media to the special celebration.

“We are so pleased to have a representative from Ground Effects, who will present us with a significant donation of $50,000, and we will have the honor of dedicating a new cabin in their name,” said Inverarity.

The Club will also recognize all the donors who have helped transform Sunshine Point Camp over the past few years.
