Dog Rescued From Burning Building

(SOUTH BUXTON, ON) – A structure fire at 6860 Fourteenth Line in South Buxton claimed $800,000 in damages during a 4-alarm blaze on Saturday. Crews from Raleigh North and South, Merlin, and Blenheim were called to the the trucking company where garages, an office, and fuel tanks were at risk.

A quick response by firefighters prevented the fire from extending to nearby buildings. Firefighters also moved several trucks away from the burning structure.

There were no injuries and a dog was saved from the blaze.

Damage by the main fire was so extensive that the actual cause could not be determined. The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal was notified.
