Day 2 At Bluesfest Windsor

(WINDSOR, ON) – Bluesfest Windsor continued continued Friday as festival goers were treated to a traditional lineup of new and veteran blues artists. Leading off the night of music on the main stage was The Wild Rides with a mixture of original creations and renditions of the classics.

Local blues rockers Blutonium made the trip into town from Chatham to next take the stage. Scott Campbell, Bob Wilson, Jeff Mifflin, and Rick Chrysler laid out their R&B for the throng of receptive fans.

Last minute stand-in, Sugar Ray Rayford stepped up the microphone to the delight of the audience. His nickname was evident as he took us on an authentic trip to the delta and left no doubt why he was nominated this year for the BB King Entertainer award during the 38th Blues Music Awards.

Veteran Kim Wilson led the Fabulous Thunderbirds onto the stage and proceeded to delve back to the roots of their creation. Wilson, along with Jay Moeller, Johnny Moeller, Mike Keller, and Randy Bermudes add a contemporary vibe to their strong traditional blues sound.
