Crash Closes Highway In Tilbury

A driver of a tractor trailer jack-knifed his vehicle and crashed into a guardrail in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 in Tilbury on 13 July 2017.

(TILBURY, ON) – Early yesterday evening, the OPP responded to a collision involving a tractor trailer on Highway 401 near County Road 42 in Tilbury. The investigation has revealed that the driver of an eastbound tractor trailer lost control, jack knifed, and struck the guardrail.

The driver was not injured in the collision.

Emergency crews arrived on scene and Highway 401 eastbound was closed to facilitate the removal of the vehicle. Highway 401 eastbound was shut down for approximately three hours.
