Charges Laid In Fatal Collision

(LAKESHORE, ON) –  The driver involved in a two vehicle collision, which claimed the life of a Lakeshore man on July 18, 2016, has been charged. The OPP along with Lakeshore Fire Service and Essex-Windsor EMS responded to the crash.

A Chevrolet minivan and a Mercedes Sport Utility Vehicle collided at the intersection of County Road 23 at South Middle Road in Lakeshore at approximately 2:20pm.

The driver of the minivan was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Mercedes was taken to an area hospital with life threatening injuries, but has since been released.

A Lakeshore woman, 70, has been charged with disobeying a stop sign.
