Attempted Murder Charge Laid In Windsor Shooting

(WINDSOR, ON) – On October 18, officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of Tecumseh Road East for a report of a fight between two men. While en route, officers were informed that gunshots had been fired and that one of the men had been shot.

Police have now received judicial authorization to search the vehicle recovered near the scene of the shooting. Within the vehicle investigators located and seized a loaded firearm which is believed to be the one used in the incident.

Ryan Murphy, 42, from Windsor, is charged with attempt murder, aggravated assault, possession of a prohibited weapon, breach of probation, possession of a restricted firearm without a licence, and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
