Alert Neighbour Reports Break-In

(WINDSOR, ON) – On April 19, Windsor Police officers were dispatched to an address in the 800 block of Homedale Boulevard regarding a suspicious man in the rear yard.  An alert neighbour reported that they had seen the suspicious man, who was carrying a back pack and riding a bike, walk into the rear yard of their neighbour’s house.

Police arrived on scene and found the man crawling into the house through a basement window. He was quickly placed under arrest.

Officers learned that the bike the man was riding was also stolen and he was found to be in possession of break and enter tools. A laptop computer and other electronics, which were found in the suspect’s backpack, were seized by police.

William Darrow, 38, from Windsor, is charged with break and enter, possession of break and enter tools, and possession of stolen property.

The investigation is on-going.
