ACWR Hosts Windsor Eduarts Hub

(WINDSOR, ON) – The Arts Council Windsor and Region and the Canadian Network for Arts and Learning are presenting the area’s first ever Eduarts Hub. The Windsor edition of Eduarts will include Indigenous artist-educators who will facilitate an engaging session of professional development.

As part of the event, CNAL will present and gather feedback on their Mapping Project; an innovative digital map representing arts and learning across Ontario.

Everyone is invited to be part of this conversation on March 29, from 4:00pm to 6:30pm at the ACWR on Wyandotte Street East. Through guided discussion, participants can have their say and help guide the development of this vital tool for arts and learning in the province.

“This is a unique opportunity to learn from traditional artists from our region, Dr Morgan Baillargeon and Lacey George,” said ACWR’s director of public programs and advocacy, Julie Tucker.

Since 2013, the Eduarts Hubs series has been presented to communities across Ontario, with the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Participants are able to network and to explore collaborative and partnership opportunities with other arts and learning professionals from a variety of sectors.

“The Eduarts Hubs are an important tool in connecting arts and learning professionals at a community level, including artists, teachers, arts administrators, and funders,” said Larry O’Farrell, the chair of CNAL. “The Eduarts Map will shine a spotlight on the great work being done across the province, and increase access to arts-in-learning opportunities in schools and community settings.”

The cost is free to attend, but registration is appreciated.
