Three County DUIs Over Weekend

(BELLE RIVER, ON) – On Saturday, the OPP stopped a grey Dodge pickup truck after an officer observed the driver speeding on Notre Dame Street, in Belle River.

Daniel James Paquette, 25, of Kingsville, exhibited signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. He was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content.

Paquette will appear in a Windsor court on August 11.

Friday night, officers were informed of a vehicle in the ditch at Meyers Road and County Road 42, in Belle River. Police determined that the driver failed to stop at the stop sign, lost control of the vehicle, struck a Bell Canada utility box, and ended up in the ditch. The driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Officers found the driver, Aaron Neveu, 28, of Lakeshore, displaying signs of impairment, and he was arrested at the scene.

Neveu was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content, and will appear in a Windsor court on August 17.

Lastly, the OPP in Leamington, received a complaint, on Sunday, regarding a Pontiac minivan on Highway 77. Police located the vehicle and found the driver to be exhibiting signs of impairment.

Sharlene Grant, 57, of London, was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content.

Grant will appear in a Windsor court on August 18.
