Toddler Taken To Detroit For Treatment

(WINDSOR, ON) – On July 31 at around 3:15 pm, Windsor Police were dispatched to a collision in the 500 block of Brock Street, where a two year old boy was struck by a car. Officers arrived to find a small child with very serious injuries. Windsor Fire and EMS also arrived and attended to the child.

Police spoke to several witnesses and located the 81 year-old driver of a 2003 yellow Pontiac Sunfire that was involved in the accident. The police investigation revealed that the Pontiac was travelling south on Brock Street when the child suddenly ran out onto the roadway.

The two year old boy was taken by ambulance to Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus to be examined and treated. He was then transferred to Detroit Medical Centre for treatment.
