(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) – The Chatham-Kent Police are thanking the public for their assistance. Through the use of social media, Crime Stoppers was flooded with tips that helped police to identify the man responsible for the theft of Robitussin DM capsules from Shopper’s Drug Mart.

On the morning of June 30, the man turned himself into police.

Benjamin Pearson, 28 years of Ross Lane in Erieau, was charged with theft under $5,000. He was also linked to two other shoplifting complaints at the same location and was charged with an additional two counts of theft under $5,000.

Pearson was released pending a future court date of July 22.
