Snow Storm Aftermath

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) – As a result of the snow storm, police were kept busy yesterday. Officers responded to:

  • 12 hang-up 911 calls
  • 10 motor vehicle collisions
  • 8 abandoned vehicles
  • 5 police assistance (vehicles in ditch, stranded motorists)
  • 4 dangerous conditions (malfunctioning street lights)
  • 2 traffic hazards (vehicles off the roadway but still affecting traffic)
  • 2 traffic complaints (vehicle in ditch, vehicle blocking a driveway)
  • 1 Municipal By-Law (request to have vehicles towed for snow removal purposes)

The Chatham-Kent Police Service are reminding everyone that a parking ban on city streets remains in effect.
