(KINGSVILLE, ON) – One of the strongest musical line-ups of the summer was bolstered by the announcement of the headlining act. Organizers of the Kingsville Folk Music Festival disclosed that Juno Award-winning artists Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy will be front and centre at the 2nd edition of the festival that runs August 7 through 9 at Lakeside Park.

MacMaster is a two-time Juno winner and recipient of 11 East Coast Music Awards. Her career has spanned over a quarter century and she’s earned the Order of Canada. Leahy is recognized as one of the best Celtic fiddlers in the world. He’ll be bringing his high-energy style to Kingsville to demonstrate why he is a highly popular performer.

“When we married in 2002, we felt there would be some recording project in our future, but we didn’t realize it wouldn’t happen until 2014,” said Natalie. “Six children later, we’ve finally documented our musical growth together.”

The duo will be augmenting an already superb line-up featuring Ashley MacIssac,  Lynn Miles, and Guy Davis. As well, attendees will bask in the musical talents of The Arrogant Worms, The Good Brothers and The Bombadils.

The August festival will also see the return of JP Cormier and Valdy.

Not only is the line-up jammed packed with the best artists, it remains the most affordable family entertainment option on Essex County’s south shore.
