Fire Marshal To Review A-Burg Department

(AMHERSTBURG, ON) – On the heels of the firing of Chief Randy Sinasac and two unnamed firefighters, new Amherstburg Fire Chief Al Reaume has approached the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office to conduct a review of the department.

The free review by the OFM will comprise of a week-long visit to the town and the creation of a report that will be presented to council. The areas that will be probed include response times, staffing, and training levels.

The last review done at the department was in 2007. This review is expected to be completed before the end of 2015.
