(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) – Over the past two days, Chatham-Kent Police have made drug seizures valued at over $100,000.
On Tuesday, CKPS received information regarding possible pot plants growing in a corn field in Orford Township. Officers discovered five different locations and seized 130 plants in various stages of growth.
The plants, with a potential street value of $130,000, are destined for destruction.
In a separate incident yesterday, police executed a warrant at a Chatham residence where they located crystal meth and an assortment of drug paraphernalia and packaging materials, along with a small amount of Canadian currency.
A 27 year-old Chatham man was arrested at the scene and charged with trafficking offences and possession of prohibited bear spray.
As well, a 22 year-old woman is also facing trafficking charges.
They were both held for a bail hearing.
