Cargill Worker Air-Lifted To Hospital

(TALBOTVILLE, ON) – OPP officers, Southwold Township Fire, as well as the Thames EMS responded to a industrial accident which occurred July 17 at the Cargill plant on Talbot Line, just west of Talbotville.

The incident occurred around 2:30pm when a worker’s arm became stuck in a piece of machinery. The worker, a 46 year-old Blenheim man, had to be extricated from the piece of machinery and was then airlifted to hospital.

He is listed in serious condition with life threatening injuries.

The workplace is responsible for contacting the Ministry of Labour. Police continue to investigate.
